Classroom News Thank you for a wonderful year. I have enjoyed
having all of the students this year. Thank you to the volunteers, for the supplies,
participation, and support throughout the year. It is important to have your child continue to
practice the skills that they have acquired for them to retain them for the
following year. I have included some websites and suggestions below for you
to use doing the summer month. We do still have some openings for Enrichment
for the month of June. |

Resources for The Summer This book will reinforce skills already learned and begin introducing skills for the next level. Assign 2 pages a day and it is work that your child should be able to do on their own. It can be purchased for $10-$12 at Hastings, Barnes and Nobles, or online at Amazon. The Library: They have a calendar online that lists all of the different activities that they provide every month. There are reading programs as well as other learning activities for the different age levels. Hastings and Barnes and Noble: They both offer reading incentives for books read during the summer. Pizza Hut: Website has several resources to encourage reading. Visit http://www.scholastic.com/summerreading/index.htm for a wonderful summer reading challenge that Scholastic has to offer! Read books and log your minutes. |
